Science Club Members Make Waves with Eco-friendly Wind-powered Boat Race

On May 15, 2024, the science club held a unique and engaging competition titled the “Eco-friendly Wind-Powered Boat Race.” This event was a testament to the students' ingenuity, creativity, and commitment to sustainability. The competition was participated by three groups of enthusiastic students from Grade 8, Grade 10, and Grade 11 showcasing their designed wind-powered boats, vying for the top spot in categories such as balance, speed, appearance, and capacity.
2024年5月15日，科学俱乐部举办了一场名为 "环保风力船比赛 "的独特而有吸引力的比赛。这次活动充分体现了学生们的聪明才智、创造力和对可持续发展的承诺。来自8年级、10年级和11年级的三组热情洋溢的学生参加了比赛，他们展示了自己设计的风力小船，在平衡、速度、外观和容量等方面争夺第一名。
The judging panel comprised assistant club leader, science teacher, and the director of middle and high school department. They evaluated the boats based on four key criteria: balance, speed, appearance, and capacity. After a series of trials, the winning boat emerged from the group composed of Grade 11 students. Their boat stood out in all categories. Additionally, its aesthetically pleasing design and substantial cargo capacity earned it top marks from the judges.
评审团由社团副团长、科学老师和中学部主任组成。他们根据平衡、速度、外观和容量四个关键标准对船只进行评估。经过层层选拔，由 11 年级学生组成的小组脱颖而出，获得了优胜奖。他们的船在所有项目中都脱颖而出。此外，其美观的设计和强大的载货能力也赢得了评委们的一致好评。
The “Eco-friendly Wind-Powered Boat Race” was more than just a competition; it was a learning experience that underscored the importance of sustainable practices and renewable energy. It provided students with hands-on experience in designing and building functional, eco-friendly prototypes, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility.

Yesterday,lower elementary students had enjoyed an extended P.E. full of fun at our sister school, the No.3 Yucai Primary School Campus.Led by Master Shin, we started off with a fun and energetic warming-up session to get our muscles ready for the activities ahead. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as we prepared for the Obstacle Race. We lined up at the starting line, adrenaline pumping through our veins as we raced through the challenging obstacles, each of us determined to reach the finish line first.
昨天，小学低年级学生在我们的姊妹学校育才三小校园享受了一次充满乐趣的体育课。
在申老师的带领下，我们首先进行了有趣而充满活力的热身活动，让我们的肌肉为接下来的活动做好准备。在准备障碍赛的过程中，气氛充满了期待。我们在起跑线上一字排开，肾上腺素在血管中飙升，争先恐后地通过具有挑战性的障碍，每个人都决心第一个到达终点。
After the exhilarating race, we moved on to the Disk Toss, a test of accuracy and skill. We took turns to see who could hit the obstacle, cheering and encouraging each other along the way. It was a great opportunity for everyone to showcase their talents and enjoy some friendly competition.

However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the soccer match. The field was buzzing with energy and excitement as we divided into teams and prepared to showcase our soccer skills. The match was intense, with everyone giving their all and displaying impressive teamwork. The cheers and shouts filled the air as we dribbled, passed, and scored goals. It was an exhilarating experience that brought us all together and left us with unforgettable memories.
不过，足球比赛无疑是今天的重头戏。当我们分成小组，准备展示自己的足球技能时，球场上充满了活力和激情。比赛非常激烈，每个人都全力以赴，表现出了令人印象深刻的团队精神。当我们运球、传球和进球时，欢呼声和呐喊声充斥着整个球场。这是一次令人兴奋的经历，它把我们大家凝聚在一起，给我们留下了难忘的回忆。
As the day came to a close, we couldn't help but feel grateful for Yucai Primary offered the opportunity to bond and have fun with our friends. We laughed, we cheered, and we celebrated each other's achievements. It was truly a day to remember, and we are thankful for the chance to participate in such a wonderful event,we are immensely grateful to everyone who made it possible.
