KIS Elementary

At KIS Elementary School, we provide students with a balanced set of core subjects and electives that provide a stable foundation for students to further develop their knowledge, foster integrity and serve the school and community.
All subjects are taught in English (except taekwondo and language courses). At KIS Elementary School, we realize that second language acquisition is not just an academic pursuit, it must become an essential skill for global collaboration and problem-solving. By strengthening the interdisciplinary English speaking environment, we aim to provide students with ample opportunities to become more effective listeners, speakers and collaborators.
KIS teachers cater to mixed-ability classes. Students learn at their own pace in their own unique way. To reach all students, teachers will focus on tailoring activities, allowing for pair or group work, and providing different learning environments.
CURRICULUM

English (Reading, Writing)
This is a subject that teaches the fundamentals of the English language and enhances communication skills. This is a subject where students learn skills to understand numbers and patterns and solve problems. Through this, elementary school students enhance their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and develop mathematical reasoning. ELL (English Language Learning)
English Language Learning provides elementary school students with the opportunity to learn and understand the English language and culture. Through this process, children develop the ability to use and communicate in English in various situations, enhancing their language skills necessary for the global era. English Language Learning stimulates children's linguistic curiosity and helps them explore new cultures and ideas. Second, Third Language(Korean, Chinese,Spanish)
This provides opportunities for students to experience and understand various languages and cultures. Through this, students enhance their multilingual communication skills and develop an international perspective necessary for the global era. In the process of learning second or third foreign languages, students cultivate understanding and respect for diverse cultures, and become aware of the diversity surrounding the world.
