KIS High School

KIS Kindergarten

KIS's high school curriculum consists of three grades (Grade 10 to Grade 12). The goal of KIS's secondary education is to lay the foundation for comprehensive student development and social adaptation. The focus of the educational curriculum is on acquiring specialized knowledge and skills, enhancing creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, providing diverse social experiences and activities, developing character and ethical values, and supporting self-development and career exploration. The difficulty, ratio, and subjects of the curriculum are adjusted according to the grade.

The major subjects of the high school curriculum are as follows:

English Language & Composition, Mathematics (Precalculus, Calculus, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus), Social Studies (World History, AP Economics, AP Psychology), Science (AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics), Second Foreign Language (Chinese), Third Foreign Language (Korean/Spanish), Computer (Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, AP Computer Science), Physical Education, Music.

Since English is the primary language of instruction at KIS, all subjects except for the second and third foreign languages are taught in English, using English textbooks. KIS conducts the MAP Growth Test for students from Grade 1 of elementary school to Grade 11 of high school. The MAP Growth Test is a tool used to assess and track academic achievement in English and Mathematics and is administered in over 1,000 international schools worldwide. The test is conducted twice per semester and serves as foundational data for assessing academic achievement.

KIS is an official AP School certified by the College Board of the United States. AP (Advanced Placement) refers to college-level courses and exams that allow students to earn credits for American universities. Therefore, students at our school can take AP Courses, the highest level of high school courses, in each subject. Additionally, our school is an official SAT Test Center designated by the College Board. The SAT exam is a standardized test of mathematical abilities required for admission to American universities and is also used for admissions consideration by universities worldwide, including Korea. KIS high school students can take AP Courses and SAT exams at our school.

KIS graduates are accepted into major universities worldwide, including Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, Japan, China, and Europe. To support this, we operate a college guidance department that provides university admission information and offers personalized 1:1 counseling sessions to develop strategies tailored to each student.

High school students have the opportunity to discover and develop their talents through weekly elective and club activities such as Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Music Band, Jazz Dance, Broadcasting, Drone, Debate, and Orchestra. They participate in student council activities and engage in events and competitions such as Field Trips, Contests, Sports Day, and Talent Shows to broaden their experiences and perspectives. Additionally, we provide opportunities for various volunteer activities and prepare students for social engagement through company visits, university visits, and career seminars featuring guest speakers.
